About us
Drug Rehabilitation Resource is an independent, multilingual library of evidence-informed information about substance use, addiction, and recovery. We are an educational resource - not a treatment provider.
Our mission
Addiction touches millions of families, and the moment someone decides to look for help is often the hardest. Our goal is to make that moment easier with clear, accurate, and judgment-free information that helps people understand their options and take the next step.
We publish in English, Spanish, and French, with a focus on readers in the United States and Canada.
What you will find here
- Guides - in-depth, medically reviewed articles on addiction, withdrawal, treatment, and recovery.
- Substance information - sourced overviews of common substances, their effects, risks, and treatment options.
- Treatment centers - a growing, state-by-state directory of licensed facilities.
- Resources & FAQ - helplines, insurance guidance, and answers to common questions.
How we work
Our content is researched, written, and edited by our editor, and every page draws on reputable authorities such as SAMHSA, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the CDC, and the World Health Organization.
We show who wrote each article and when it was last updated, so you can judge the information for yourself. We are establishing an independent medical-review process and will display each reviewer’s name, credentials, and review date as qualified clinicians join. Our full standards are described in our Editorial Policy.
Our independence
We exist to serve readers first. When advertising appears on the site it is clearly labeled and never influences our content. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage, and treatment-center listings are not endorsements.
A note on safety
We are not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US and Canada) or your local emergency number right away.
